We've been in this hotel Two weeks ago.The hotel is actually nice and look good, but to get up to our room we had to use the stairs cause there was no elevator to our area. The manager was nice, but the other staff weren't vety nice. Housekeeping didn't pass our side, and even when he passed he didn't give us what we wanted, till we came second time and told him to give us towels and toilet paper. The breakfast was okay. And the room zad comfy. In the business center you can't download anything, and if you want to print a document you need to pay money. We are traveller's and we've been in lots of hotels, and this is the first time that money is taken to print something.I could understand if it was common to take money for printing, but it's not. I have to say that there is a beauty salon & spa in the lobby.
Decent affordable accommodation a short drive or train ride from Downtown Calgary. Could use some renovations and updates, but the room was adequate and clean, and beds were comfortable for a good sleep. Staff were friendly and generally helpful. The included breakfast had a fairly good selection of items and was actively maintained and restocked by staff. Definitely possible to eat a good filling breakfast here (eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, self-serve waffle station, etc), and there is a good amount of seating in the breakfast room. Parking was free, which was appreciated.
Room was clean. Bed was comfy (although they were just doubles). Air conditioner was a bit loud but other than that it was a pleasant stay. Good location. Plenty of parking. The kids enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and the guy working the front desk when we checked in was the most friendly front desk staff I've ever encountered. Made me feel welcome right from the second I walked up.
Do not stay here, The only thing i can say positive is that the staff was friendly and the rooms where clean. The carpets where stained and buckled, the matrices was old and you could feel the springs, the room was very small, the pool the freezing and the so called hot tub wasn't . The whole tub was very old and had next to no pressure in the jets. When we went to get breakfast the whole area was a disaster, very trashed barley warm eggs terrible sausage and no batter for waffles. Not to forget the mess ever ware. We ended up going to the Mac Donald's next store. Save your money and find a different hotel.
This hotel is located between the C train and a busy street but I didn't notice any noise unless I was specifically listening for it. There is a pasta restaurant located off the lobby which hosts a complimentary breakfast buffet. Several fast food restaurants and convenience stores are also located within walking distance. There is a pool, hot tub, and ping pong table located on the lower level. The parkade can be accessed from this level. We had two issues with our room: The bathtub was very slow to drain and the air conditioner was located too close to the bed, making noise and blowing cold air directly onto us. Otherwise, this hotel was quite nice.
