We came here for a friend birthday as he wanted to try out open range. They had a select menu which ranged from steak, chicken to fish. I ordered the elk steak medium rare (tender, lean and gamey) which also came with a side of vegetables (squash and wild rice). Overall food here is delicious with good quality. I'd recommend trying this place out.

Fantastic experience. Right from the get go we were greeted and our reserved table was ready with two glasses of water. The waiter was attentive and quick to explain all the menu options. The choice of dishes was delightful. My lady chose the lamb while I went with the wild boar. Each dish was beautifully presented and prepared to satisfy. The wine and dessert lists were also extensive. We simply had no room for dessert. Will come back for sure.
This place is my favorite place in Calgary for a high quality steak. They know exactly what they are doing . And always have some new interesting features to try out.They have all sorts of different meats like venison and bison. And some fantastic sides to fill out the the rest of your stomach.It has great decor. A very rustic and Western feel to it , almost like you are on a ranch .And they serve the bill in a western themed book which is memorableI will definitely be back
Decent food, but server could have been a bit better and the place is a bit dated. They have a good selection of different meats (elk, venison, bison, beef, game fowl, etc) all of which are quite nice with decent sized portions and reasonable sides. We did find the server was polite and respectful but could have been a bit more helpful. When we asked about if they had a certain menu item instead of pointing it out the server simply said ya, "it's in the middle" and then wandered off. It took a second question to confirm. Not terrible by any means but could have been handled better. Prices were fine. Washrooms are very dated and could use an overhaul. Recommended, but only just.
