Terrible service today. Went in wearing a pair of worn out converse runners. Asked if they could sell me a *similar* pair of shoes. Was wearing a very basic shoe of which there were lots of similar pairs on the shelves. Was told that they don't sell converse there - they are a vans store. I reiterated that I just wanted a similar style of shoe. Employee even consulted with another employee before suggesting we try another store. Was blown away. Would have been a very easy sale for them.

Awesome peeps. I came in with ratty laces and they gave me free new ones - they're usually $6. Totally next level customer service. I don't think I've had that good of an experience at a shoe store before. Really good selection too. Next time I get a pair of SK8-His Im going there.

I've been a loyal fan and customer to Vans for years, but I'm done with them after my experience with this store. Their employees have made it clear they hate their jobs, which is a shame because I was all set to purchase a few items (and we all know Vans is not cheap). But apparently it's too much effort for them to even grab a shoe size from the back. I know this, because when I asked for a size, the kid barked "Yup be right there" and didn't even look at me or the style. Later, when it was convenient for him, he wordlessly left a box that contained a completely different style and color than the shoe I had asked for. Then he had the gall to stare at me when I left a minute later (decided to do the poor boy a favor, keep my temper in check and be the classy one). I wish I had asked for the brat's name. I emailed the head office in Montreal and got a prompt, friendly reply - they apologized and said they'd forward it to the district manager. But of course I have not heard back from them. They don't give a damn and neither do their employees, crappy leadership usually trickles down. Such a shame. Seems work ethic and customer service have gone down the drain. Hopefully this store will shut down ASAP... I'm sure with the lack of attention from the employees, customers will shoplift. But this store deserves that, as they don't seem to need the money anyway! I will never return again, Vans won't get one more dime from me. I recommend no one else shops there, unless you like to be treated like garbage.
