Had the worst experience even after being a regular customer, whom the store manager knew by face. After 100s of visit and buying thousands of dollars worth of liquor, I decided to exchange a product (a fancy bottle of tequila) bought earlier in the day.Youve opened the bottle, so we cant return!It was the first statement made by the manager, it was due the decorative cap it had that wasnt fully closed. I told him that I didnt even take it out of my car. His second statement I dont know what you did once you took it out of the store, the seal is broken and I cant take it back and it continued with examples of how people try to fool them and no one would buy it.At this moment, I had enough of accusations and discussions. I took the bottle in my hand and found the seal is intact, its the decorative cap theyre talking about. Thankfully, the cashier brought another bottle, my wife compared the caps and pressed the clip and there bottle was sealed again!The final response from the unapologetic manager while returning was that i should be checking the seals everytime I buy (including the decorative caps). My feedback to them was learn some basic human courtesy at least and if your conscience allows, some customer service skills as well. He shamelessly nodded and walked back into his room.Im apalled by their behavior, without even trying to close the cap themselves they were quick to accuse the customer.What a waste of 5-6 year long customer-loyalty!
Great selection and prices! Only posting this review because I don't want this to happen to someone else...Visited Olympia yesterday with my boyfriend (we are both people of colour). I have visited this liquor store several times and have never had an issue when shopping and find the staff quite helpful. Unfortunately yesterday we were followed around the store, closely, by employees the entire time. We were dressed up to go to a party, and picked up a few cheap bottles of wine. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, I was super disappointed.
