Always fabulous!
I got my hair cut back in May and this was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had. The cut and highlights were just ok but my bangs were not blending with the length and the highlights(foils) were uneven. I called a week or two later to ask how much it would be to blend the bangs...I don't know why I give people second chances when it comes to my hair but I sadly did. So I was told that there would be no charge and to come in on the weekend(I was willing to pay). Needless to say I came in and I got hacked at with a razor and thinning shears. I have natural curly hair and this is a huge no no but for some reason the owner of this salon and who had cut my hair claims to be an expert at cutting curly hair. I was told before the first cut that it would be cut dry, it wasn't, I was told it not be even if I had straightened out my hair and let me tell you it wasn't even close. It was shorter, very crooked and overly thinned on one size. I've had to have two hair cuts and one round of full highlights to fix the mess (it will sill be about 4 more months to get my hair to a proper length). My top layer reaches just to my ears lucky thing I can hide it in my curls. Why I said it was unprofessional is how I was treated. I have no clue what this lady's problem was but you could tell she was irritated to the point of being ticked off that I had the nerve to ask for some bang blending. Which again I must point out that it needed the length blended in with the bangs not the bangs thinned heavily and then hacked at viscously with a razor tearing at the ends of my hair plus I was willing to pay! My curls were ragged on the ends and not following the curl pattern because of the thinning. To make this all worse she had brushed my curls out so everything was frizzy and then left all the hair that had been cut with the thinning shears still in my hair. She didn't do up the cape do I was covered in hair. I had to get myself home with this frizzy mess coated in hair! When I got home I started to rinse my hair and so much came out in clogged the tub! There was a fist sized wad of hair all over my tub and at the top of the drain. I've had bad haircuts before but this takes the cake. I usually don't put up negative reviews but if this helps one person then it was worth it. Don't claim you know how to cut curly hair if you don't know how to. I'm sure this hairdresser is great with straight hair but I wouldn't let her touch your curls.
Best service in town! I switched to Dave after going to the same hairdresser downtown for over six years and couldn't be happier with the results. Everybody needs to visit Dave top notch services and the best person to surround yourself with I always leave feeling recharged and positive.
